This week we welcomed three Visiting Scholars to WISER!
Dr. Lei Fan joins us from Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, China, where he is an Orthopedic Surgeon. During Dr. Fan’s six months with WISER he would like to learn advanced education ideas for teaching, improve his skills in facilitation and debriefing and learn about the operations in a simulation center.
Dr. MingFang Xiang joins us from the First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University, also known as the Shenzhen Second People’s Hospital in China. Dr. Xiang is an anesthesiologist and a deputy chief physician. Dr. Xiang will be at WISER for eight months. As a Preceptor through the Visiting Scholars Program, Dr. Xiang would like to develop programs for a simulation center, learn about the ins and outs of running a simulation center and develop a CRM course.
Through our Customized Experience with the Visiting Scholars Program,we also welcomed Dr. Qingping Wen. Dr. Wen is from the Department of Anesthesiology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University in China. Although his visit with us will only be two weeks, Dr. Wen will be learning about teaching methods in simulation and how to manage a simulation center.
