We are happy to announce the arrival of our newest Fellow, Advait Kothare! Dr. Kothare graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland where he received his MB BCh BAO, NUI, LRCPI & SI, and he completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Kent Hospital in Rhode Island. He is also an active contributor to the medical research community. Over the course of 2022-2023, Dr. Kothare was instrumental in developing a variety of simulation-based training programs at both Kent Hospital and the University Teaching Hospital in Rwanda, Africa.
During his two-year long stay at WISER, Dr. Kothare will work closely with our center’s leadership, medical experts, and simulation specialists to learn how to effectively develop, manage, and operate a simulation center. In addition to his work at WISER, Dr. Kothare will also be an Attending Emergency Medicine Physician at UPMC’s Shadyside Hospital. We are excited to have him join our UPMC team!
