Recently WISER faculty were award the prestigious Rufus A. Lyman Award for the best paper published in the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education.  The Lyman Award is the highest award in Pharmacy Education! The manuscript “Blended Simulation Progress Testing for Assessment of Practice Readiness” describes the process and implementation of the Pharmacy Readiness Assessment course at WISER.  This is an annual assessment done on P1 and P3 pharmacy students, as well as PGY1 pharmacy residents. This assessment uses a blend of virtual, manikin, and standardized patients as well as standardized colleagues to assess the competence in patient and interprofessional communication, knowledge, and attitudes of ownership.
