We have had another busy quarter at WISER supporting many new students and faculty with all of their simulation needs. WISER staff are also preparing for the International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) conference. This year’s conference will take place in San Antonio, Texas, January 10th -14th. If you are also attending the conference, come see us at booth #344!

WISER’s expansion into Scaife Hall is well underway with construction on the 3rd floor to include mock Operating Rooms, Intensive Care Units, and more simulation labs to support the needs of our fantastic Medical School at the University of Pittsburgh! Stay tuned for more information in the coming months!

Also, at Scaife Hall, the eleven rooms on the completed side of the hallway are busy supporting courses such as ultrasound, anesthesiology crisis management, and trauma resuscitation for our medical students. In addition, WISER will begin offering its hybrid HeartCode program in conjunction with the American Heart Association. Those in need of their Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification can do so at WISER on McKee place every Tuesday, or Scaife hall every Thursday!
