The curriculum department has added Emily Kane to the team! Emily has been a WISER employee for two years with the administration department but was interested in changing her focus to curriculum and what we do to help create and manage the courses that she had been supporting in her previous role. Welcome to the team, Emily!

WISER was honored to participate in the 17th Annual Kansas City Healthcare Simulation Conference—a dynamic gathering dedicated to advancing simulation-based education. The event brought together educators, clinicians, and innovators for an impactful day of workshops, collaboration, and forward-thinking dialogue.

WISER Director Dr. Paul Phrampus and Simulation Fellow Dr. Advait Kothare delivered inspiring keynote addresses in both the morning and afternoon sessions, setting the tone for a day filled with insight and energy. Joining them were Director of Operations Tom Dongilli and Director of Educational Development Bianca Caruso, who, alongside Drs. Phrampus and Kothare, led engaging workshops that showcased WISER’s best practices and sparked meaningful conversations about the future of healthcare simulation.

We extend our sincere thanks to Johnson County Community College, the University of Kansas, the Kansas City Regional Simulation Alliance, Children’s Mercy, and Dr. John Zamierowski for hosting such a thoughtful and impactful event.
