After two years, 113 third year pharmacy students will complete the fall practice Capstone event on site at WISER. We are excited to welcome the students back for this important component of their training. In the morning, each student will complete a face-to-face interview and evaluation of a standardized patient. They will then create a custom treatment plan based upon the information collected. In the afternoon they will confer face-to-face with a standard physician colleague to coordinate that plan. Evaluations of their performance will be done by observing faculty members. Starting in the spring of 2020, all encounters were done over Zoom with WISER’s assistance. While students were overwhelmingly positive about the remote experience, we are glad to have them back at WISER’s main facility in Oakland. We wish the best of luck to all students as they continue their education at WISER.
