Just last month our Simulation Operations Specialist, James (Jim) Lightner, BS, EMT-P, CHSOS, received his Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) certification at the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare. CHSOS certifications were developed for those whose primary role is to implement and deliver simulation activities through simulation technologies. Obtaining a certification as a CHSOS promotes excellence and professionalism and demonstrates a commitment to the use of simulation as a tool for professional development.
This month we wanted to make Jim our Staff Spotlight. Jim has been at WISER for just over 2 years, prior to working at WISER Jim worked as an EMS coordinator and instructor at a number of Pittsburgh area hospitals. In fact, Jim is still a paramedic in the Pittsburgh area! His favorite part about working at WISER is seeing the students? progress over multiple sessions. One thing many people might not know about Jim is that he is a foodie/amateur chef, which explains his love of watching cooking shows.
