WISER has a commitment to patient safety and bringing cutting-edge technology to the faculty and staff at UPMC and Pitt. Ultrasound training programs have increased dramatically in the past 2 years at WISER. WISER course directors, facilitators, staff, and various clinicians from UPMC, had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on demonstration of the latest portable/wireless ultrasound devices from Limbs and Things. The SONON device (approved for clinical use), was demonstrated to the group followed by hands-on sessions. Discussions pertaining to ultrasound training programs and clinical use followed.
