Recently WISER participated in the annual Safar Symposium, this time with a twist! This year, WISER focused on simulation around both academic and professional nursing education. Friday morning was the traditional simulation portion of the Symposium, with topics as wide-ranging from program accreditation to virtual and augmented reality. The afternoon consisted of a free-flowing Q & A discussion between the audience and a panel of simulation and educational experts covering issues from curriculum development to systems integration. On Saturday the program continued with interactive workshops detailing everything from debriefing and facilitation to the overcoming the challenges presented with inter-professional education. WISER would like to thanks all of the speakers, workshop leaders, and most importantly the participants for creating a unique and dynamic 2 days of education!
