Our simulation specialists recently took a fieldtrip to Presby’s OR to help support a multidisciplinary simulation-based training focusing on the overall teamwork of interprofessional teams responding to a deteriorating patient! Utilizing high-fidelity simulation to train various OR team members in managing internal carotid artery (ICA) injuries during endoscopic nasal surgeries, participants had the opportunity to practice crisis management skills and effective communication amongst their peers.
