WISER welcomes new staff member, Elliott Finney! Elliott received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He comes to us from the Community College of Allegheny County where he worked with the IT Service Desk. He is a welcome addition to our IT staff and is excited to learn more about his position here and how he can help assist in the educational endeavors of future and current providers.
WISER recently said farewell to Dr. Noor Hafizah Abdul Salim as she travelled back home to Malaysia. Dr. Salim was a fellow with WISER for one year and participated in countless workshops, classes, and simulations during her time here. Dr. Salim was able to accomplish many things with WISER support such as earning her CHSE (Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator) Certification. She also submitted two papers for publication on the Development and Evolution of the Gas Debriefing Model as well as a paper on the Financial Viability of a Simulation Center. While we will miss working with Dr. Salim, our current fellows, Dr. Suwattana Klanarong and Dr. Advait Kothare continue to work alongside WISER Leadership and other simulation faculty to learn more about Simulation center leadership and operations as well as developing and managing simulation-based healthcare programs. We continue to work with prospective fellows from around the globe and look forward to adding more fellows to our WISER family and continuing to grow this impactful program.
