Our WISER staff spotlight this month is Jon Mazur, Simulation Specialist. Jon has been working at WISER for fourteen years. Prior to working at WISER, Jon was a Medical/Surgical Buyer at UPMC Presby/Montefiore.
What are your responsibilities? As a Simulation Specialist, my main responsibilities include ensuring that room setups are correct for the many courses we offer, maintaining simulator and technology functionality and providing support to instructors and faculty as needed.
Where do you see WISER in 10 years? Hopefully with the advancement of technology we can reach out to other departments within our health system to offer them the ability to use simulation so that we can provide better patient care.
What is your favorite part about working at WISER? The ability to interact with a wide and diverse group of people on daily basis.
Tell us something about yourself that nobody would know walking through the doors of WISER and meeting you? I?m president of a local Computer and Technology club and have been for past 12 years.
